Head of AI

About the role

• Lead the identification, design and deployment of AI use cases across business functions, owning the full journey from concept to production.
• Define and own the architecture across AI, ML, GenAI and automation systems at enterprise scale.
• Build, lead and scale a cross‑functional AI engineering team setting the standard for how the function operates and delivers.
• Establish MLOps frameworks, deployment standards and governance practices that ensure AI systems are reliable, secure and maintainable.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders across the Group to drive adoption, measure ROI and ensure AI initiatives deliver tangible commercial value.
• Act as the senior technical voice on AI across the organisation, influencing decisions at Group leadership level.

• 10 to 15 years or more of experience in engineering, AI or large‑scale technology delivery with a clear track record of deploying AI and ML systems into production at enterprise scale.
• Strong hands‑on understanding of LLMs, orchestration frameworks, MLOps and modern AI architecture patterns.
• Solid experience across cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP, alongside APIs and data pipeline design.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and engage senior stakeholders with equal confidence and credibility.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes and articulate value clearly.
• Industry background is open, but experience within complex, multi‑business‑unit organisations is a strong advantage.
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate.
