Java Solution Architect Key Responsibilities

• Digital Transformation Leadership:
  Drive and lead digital transformation initiatives for large-scale financial institutions and enterprises, ensuring seamless and efficient technology adoption.
• Architecture & Strategy:
  Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level software architecture solutions for banking and payment solutions.
• Cloud & Platform Migration:
  Lead platform migrations and upgrades, managing both on-premise and cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Cloud-Native Architectures:
  Implement cloud-native architectures, including the containerization of applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring optimal performance and flexibility.
• Feasibility Analysis & Project Lifecycle:
  Provide guidance through all project phases, from initial feasibility studies to concept design, documentation, implementation, user training, and post-launch enhancements.
• Solution Design & Validation:
  Collaborate with product and delivery teams to design scalable solutions, review, and validate solution designs to meet business requirements.
• Leadership & People Management:
  Lead and manage cross-functional, culturally diverse teams, ensuring strong vendor management, stakeholder communication, and performance accountability.
• Dev Ops Implementation:
  Drive the implementation of Dev Ops practices and automation in the software development lifecycle to increase productivity, quality, and speed of delivery.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization:
  Provide ongoing technical expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, debugging, and application monitoring to ensure the optimal operation of deployed solutions.
• Integration Expertise:
  Lead complex integrations with internal and external service providers, in compliance with CBUAE guidelines.

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, digital transformation, and enterprise software development, with a focus on banking and financial services.
• Proven experience in cloud architecture, application containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and platform migrations (on-prem and cloud).
• Strong understanding of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with a variety of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Expertise in managing large‑scale integrations with third‑party services and external systems.
• Leadership skills with experience in managing cross‑functional teams and vendor relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage stakeholders and drive successful outcomes.

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of security and compliance standards within the financial and payments sector.
