Data Engineering Lead

As the Data Engineering Lead within our Data and Analytics team, your primary responsibility will be to drive the delivery of cutting-edge data and analytics solutions, maintaining Al Futtaim Business’s position as a leader in technical excellence in Data Engineering and Web-based development. This role involves leading a dynamic team, streamlining current processes, and spearheading Azure-based development projects while integrating global best practices.

• Leading and nurturing a top-performing Data Engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, productivity, and teamwork.
• Leveraging your extensive expertise in Azure Data Platform and other Data Engineering tools to enhance and diversify our data capabilities.
• Taking charge of the entire lifecycle of designing, documenting, building, deploying, and testing innovative prototypes that highlight the significance of data.
• Supervising creating and integrating Web Apps, Function Apps, and customized user interfaces, ensuring adherence to robust data modeling, quality assurance, governance, and security protocols.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to Data Engineering.

• Hands-on experience building and enhancing Big Data pipelines, architectures, and datasets to optimize efficiency and scalability.
• Proficiency in analytical reasoning and adeptness with Dev Ops methodologies for deploying data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Data Virtualization Tools like Denodo, Auto ML Tools like Data Robot and Dataiku, Marketing Tools like Salesforce, and SAP systems (BW/BO/ERP).
• Mastery of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, Python, PySpark, SQL & No-SQL Databases, and other critical Big Data solutions to establish robust and scalable data infrastructure.
