Data Network Engineer

Job Overview:

AFET is a leading provider of integrated business solutions, specializing in networking, IP telephony, infrastructure, contact center solutions, business applications, ELV systems, professional audio-visual solutions, and managed services. We seek a Data Network Engineer to support AFET’s AMC and provide on-site technical assistance. This role focuses on data networks, infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and security solutions, requiring expertise in industry-leading solutions such as Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, Cisco, Fortinet, HP, and similar technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in technical support and be certified in relevant solutions. As a key technical support team member, this role requires a strong foundation in network engineering, troubleshooting, and customer service.

• Post-Sales Technical Support
  :
  Provide ongoing technical support per Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customers.
• Network and ICT Solutions Implementation
  :
  Work closely with customers, principals, service providers, and partners to ensure network solutions meet design specifications.
• Network Maintenance and Monitoring
  :
  Maintain and monitor enterprise-level network hardware and software at customer locations, ensuring system availability and reliability.
• Advanced Diagnostics
  :
  Perform diagnostics on data network infrastructure solutions, resolve network issues, and ensure performance.
• Configuration and Installation
  :
  Configure and install routers, wireless controllers (Aruba & Cisco), switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• System Maintenance and Upgrades
  :
  Conduct network maintenance, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security updates.
• Incident Management
  :
  Address and resolve break/fix issues, coordinating repairs and replacements as needed.
• Preventive Maintenance
  :
  Perform health checks and attend to service requests to prevent network downtime.
• Change Management
  :
  Oversee change management activities to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
• Customer Training
  :
  Provide system usage training to customers and ensure they understand the functionalities of their network solutions.
• Project Delivery
  :
  Ensure projects are delivered on time and within customer site scope, cost, and quality standards.
• Customer Satisfaction
  :
  Maintain a high customer satisfaction with 24/7 support readiness.

• Technical Expertise
  :
• Certified in Cisco, Aruba & Alcatel Lucent Data Networks (switching & Wireless).
• Strong hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, proxy servers, and WAN accelerators.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IGMP, IPSEC, VRRP, HSRP, STP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• Proficient with the OSI and TCP/IP models.
• Extensive experience with network diagnostics, problem management, and analytical skills.
• CCIE Certification is mandatory.
• Education
  :
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecom, IT, or Computer Science

• Experience
  :
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Networks, routing/switching, infrastructure, Wi-Fi, security, and firewall solutions.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience, including lifecycle management (requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, documentation, maintenance).
• Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
• On-site customer network support and monitoring experience.

• Expertise in the entire lifecycle of network solutions, from design and implementation to troubleshooting and maintenance.
• A strong track record of customer satisfaction, with an ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
• A proactive approach to managing networks, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
