Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply advanced AI solutions including Agentic AI, RAG, and LLMs to enhance healthcare operations and patient care.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in NLP and Generative AI to drive continuous innovation within healthcare informatics.
  • Lead the development lifecycle from prototype to production in partnership with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Utilize NLP algorithms and deep learning to analyze unstructured healthcare data such as clinical notes and medical literature.
  • Define and execute evaluation strategies for ML and LLM solutions, including quality metrics, bias checks, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across IT, clinical, and finance departments to identify data‑driven opportunities.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership based on predictive modeling results.
  • Ensure strict compliance with data privacy regulations, including HIPAA and PHI handling.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in predictive analytics or data science.
  • 5 years of experience within the healthcare industry.
  • 1 year of experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data stacks like Databricks or Snowflake.
  • 1 year of experience in the development and deployment of NLP and Generative AI solutions in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Python or R.
  • Expertise in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field.
  • Experience with MLOps and LLMOps practices (CI/CD, model registry, automated evaluation).
  • Familiarity with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies.
  • Knowledge of healthcare-specific data including medical/pharmacy claims and EMR data.
