Data Platform Manager

We have partnered with a financial services company to hire a Data Platform Manager who will lead the evolution of their enterprise data platform. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping data infrastructure, governance, and integration across the business. You'll work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the data platform is scalable, secure, and fit for both regulatory and commercial needs.

• Own and develop the company's end-to-end data platform across cloud and on-prem environments
• Lead a team of data engineers and architects, fostering best practices and technical excellence
• Design and implement scalable pipelines, integrations, and real‑time data flows
• Embed governance, security, and quality controls into all aspects of the data lifecycle
• Work with business units to translate data into actionable insights and value
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to keep the platform future‑ready

• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, ETL/data integration methods, and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks)
• Comfortable working with SQL and applying robust data modelling practices
• Familiar with Master Data Management (MDM), data quality management, cataloguing, and governance tools
• A strategic thinker with hands‑on technical skills and leadership experience
• Proven ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments is advantageous
