BI Engineer

We have partnered with an established fintech business to hire a BI Engineer. This is a business that runs on data. Decisions across product, commercial and operations are driven by insight, and the BI function sits right at the centre of that. With a mature data environment and a leadership team that genuinely values what good BI looks like, this is a strong platform for someone who wants to do their best work.

• Design, build and maintain scalable data models and BI solutions that serve commercial, product and operational teams across the business
• Own the development and continuous improvement of dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring they are accurate, performant and genuinely useful
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clean, well-structured analytical solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines that feed BI layers, working alongside data engineering to ensure reliability and consistency
• Define and enforce semantic layer standards, metrics definitions and data documentation that create a single source of truth
• Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, reduce manual reporting and drive self‑serve analytics across the organisation

• 4 to 6 years of experience in BI engineering or a closely related analytics engineering role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Big Query or Redshift
• Hands‑on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI or Tableau, including building production‑grade dashboards and reports
• Solid understanding of data modelling principles including dimensional modelling and experience with dbt or equivalent transformation tooling
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that drive decisions
• Fintech, banking or financial services experience is advantageous
