Network Engineer

Purple Rock IT Solutions is a Dubai-based IT infrastructure, networking and systems integration company delivering enterprise IT solutions, managed services and large-scale event technology deployments across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Our projects range from corporate offices and managed IT environments to international events, exhibitions, sporting venues and temporary network deployments.

We are looking for a hands‑on Network Engineer who enjoys both project delivery and ongoing support, comfortable supporting Managed Services clients and event‑based network environments.

• Configure, deploy and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points and related network services.
• Manage routing, switching, firewall, VPN and wireless network environments.
• Perform firmware upgrades, security updates, preventive maintenance and network optimization activities.
• Monitor network performance and availability to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and support network connectivity, performance and security issues; perform root‑cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support Managed IT Services (MSP) clients through remote and onsite troubleshooting and participate in escalation support for critical incidents and service outages.
• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, solutions and network changes.
• Deliver project support for network implementation, migration, expansion and infrastructure upgrade projects; participate in site surveys, technical assessments and solution deployment activities.
• Assist with structured cabling, wireless deployments and network commissioning; work closely with project managers, technical teams and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Design, deploy, monitor and support temporary event networks; configure enterprise wireless solutions for exhibitions, sporting events, conferences and activations; monitor bandwidth utilization and network performance during live events; provide onsite support during build‑up, live operations and de‑rig periods.
• Create and maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio; document network configurations, IP schemes, topology diagrams and standard operating procedures; prepare technical reports and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in network deployment and support.
• Experience with enterprise multi‑site, MSP and event network environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Fortinet, Ubiquiti Uni Fi, Cisco Meraki, Aruba and Peplink solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE/FCP, Aruba, Ubiquiti or Peplink are an advantage.
