The Splunk Solutions Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, supports Splunk, a Cisco company, focused on building a resilient digital world using an end‑to‑end platform designed for hybrid and multi‑cloud environments. The position operates within the Sales category.
ResponsibilitiesThe engineer is responsible for driving the technical sales cycle by discovering, positioning, and proving key technical elements required to achieve technical wins in complex customer environments. The role collaborates with Account Managers to identify promising opportunities, conduct discovery calls, evaluate prospect needs, and drive measurable business outcomes. Responsibilities also include demonstrating Splunk products and services through onsite, remote, and field event sessions to showcase value and address complex technical challenges, while conducting hands‑on proof‑of‑value engagements leveraging Splunk solution offerings and the Splunk data platform.
The engineer establishes and maintains strong, trust‑based relationships with stakeholders to transform customers into long‑term Splunk champions and executes professional advocacy through social media and industry events to support continuous pipeline generation.
The position requires proven experience in technical sales, pre‑sales, or solution engineering within Enterprise Software, ITOps, or Cybersecurity sectors, with hands‑on experience delivering technical product demonstrations to customers in person, via webinars, or at industry events. Prior experience with the Splunk data platform, Sec Ops, ITOps, APM, or equivalent technology stack is required, along with hands‑on experience conducting proof‑of‑value engagements leveraging data platforms, security operations, or observability tools.
Preferred qualifications include strong business acumen to understand organizational IT, cybersecurity, and compliance structures and digital transformation drivers; knowledge of security operation standards; and attainment of Splunk Enterprise Security Admin certification or other cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or SANS Cybersecurity. Additional expertise includes experience with modern application architecture such as Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless technologies; knowledge of digital experience monitoring including synthetics and real‑user monitoring tools, and App Dynamics or Observability Cloud certifications.
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and knowledge of AI tools and concepts including LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and Time Series models is also required. Candidates must be based in Dubai, UAE, and be willing to travel within UAE or Gulf region to visit prospects and engage in onsite customer work.
