About the Role
We're thrilled to invite you to apply for the role of Big Data Chief Specialist at RTA Dubai. In this key position, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, overseeing, and executing activities associated with Dubai Metro and Tram in Rail Operations Performance Monitoring. We need a Subject Matter Expert who has extensive experience in:
Big Data, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Data Management, Data Modeling, Architecture

- Develop methods to analyze structured and unstructured big data sources
- Ensure compliance with data management policies and governance aspects
- Empower the organization to make data-driven decisions and create new business opportunities
- Monitor service performance and customer service during operations
- Implement big data techniques and statistical analysis
- Candidate provides relevant references of projects involving implementation of technology solutions and platforms of similar nature and scale (in terms of complexity, budget, resources)
- Candidate provides references of projects involving interfacing and operating with the organization’s internal employees to develop clear scope of work and maintain Big Data/AI solutions.
- Candidate leads Big Data/AI projects successfully with measurable ROI and significant impact.
- Candidate proposes innovative technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and offer pioneering services.
- Candidate demonstrates exceptional leadership and teamwork skills.
- Candidates ensures vendors and contractors comply with Data Governance Frameworks, standards, and practices.
- Candidates should have Strong leadership and project management skills preferably in government related projects, with a track record of successfully delivering data projects according to project timelines.
- A subject matter expert (SME) with deep knowledge, expertise and experience in Big Data and Data Science.
- Possess the positive leadership mindset to seek improvements within the organisation to serve RTA’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Experience working on scalable and complex projects
- Understands general population movement and how to extract relevant data
- Work experience related to government projects preferred
- Has proven initiatives in their previous work
- Has proven record of ROI in previous projects
- Experience using latest tools and technologies
- Has proven experience in design & implementation to track customer satisfaction data
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ Big data/ Data Science/ AI /Statistics / Mathematics/ Research /IT
- At least 11 years of experience with Bachelor's degree or 9 years experience with Master's degree
