SAP MDG Technical Consultant

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with 6 years of hands‑on experience in designing, developing and implementing technical solutions in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in ABAP, BRF, Data Modeling, Workflow Enhancements, APIs and integration with S/4

HANA ECC systems. The candidate will work closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to develop scalable MDG solutions and support master data governance initiatives.

• Design, develop and implement technical solutions in SAP MDG for domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material and Finance.
• Develop and enhance MDG Data Models, UI Configurations, Change Requests, Workflows and Business Rules.
• Configure and customize MDG workflows using BRF and SAP Workflow.
• Develop custom enhancements using ABAP BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements Framework and Web Dynpro FPM.
• Create and maintain MDG staging tables, data replication frameworks (DRF) and validations/derivations.
• Build and enhance MDG interfaces using IDocs, APIs, Web Services, OData and ALE EDI integrations.
• Work on MDG Consolidation, Data Quality and Data Replication processes.
• Develop reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows (RICEFW objects).
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDG workflows, replication and data governance processes.
• Participate in code reviews, performance optimization, testing, deployment and production support.
• Prepare technical design documents, functional specifications and unit test documents.

• 6 years of SAP technical experience with strong hands‑on expertise in SAP MDG Technical.
• Strong experience in SAP MDG implementation support projects.
• Expertise in ABAP OO, ABAP Enhancement Framework, BADIs, User Exits, Reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms.
• Hands‑on experience in MDG Data Modeling, Change Request Management, Rule‑Based Workflow, BRF, DRF, Data Replication Framework, MDG UI Modeling, FPM, Web Dynpro, Validations and Derivations.
• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and ECC integration.
• Strong knowledge of IDocs, APIs, OData Services, Web Services and RFCs.
• Experience in MDG Business Partner (BP), Supplier, Customer or Material domains.
• Understanding of Data Quality Management and Master Data Governance concepts.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori UI5 for MDG applications is an added advantage.
• Experience with SAP BTP CPI integration is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• SAP MDG certification is preferred.
• Experience in end‑to‑end implementation, rollout and support projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4
  
  HANA.
• Exposure to SAP CPI, APIs and cloud integrations.
• Knowledge of SAP Data Migration tools and governance frameworks.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.

SAP MDG certification is preferred.

Experience in end‑to‑end implementation, rollout and support projects.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Experience with SAP MDG on S/4

HANA.

Exposure to SAP CPI, APIs and cloud integrations.
