The strategic role of an Senior Specialist – Business Analysis is to act as a trusted advisor to the business, leveraging analytical, technical and communication skills to identify opportunities for improvement, drive innovation, and facilitate the successful delivery of technology solutions that align with organizational goals.
Strategic Responsibilities- The EVP IT Ventures and Foods & Resources is accountable for defining IT strategy and roadmap for the respective business verticals.
- There is a dedicated IT Business Partner and Business Analyst role managing IT requirements for ventures business vertical.
- Therefore there is need to have a Senior Specialist Business Analysis role to manage the IT requirements for Foods and Resources business vertical.
- Food and resources business operations are spread across UAE, Sri Lanka and Sudan.
- In Jan 2023 Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations was implemented at UAE and currently enhancements and automations are being implemented to drive operational efficiencies.
- Internal IT Team is also mobilising the projects to roll‑out UAE solution in Sudan and Sri Lanka.
- The business is also planning to implement commercial maritime freight management solution, commodity trading and risk management solution and sales & operations planning solution before the end of the year.
- Requirements Gathering:
Collaborating with business users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems. This involves understanding business processes, identifying pain points or inefficiencies, and translating them into functional and technical specifications. - Process Analysis:
Evaluating current business processes to identify areas for improvement or automation. Analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing streamlined processes that align with the organization's strategic objectives. - Solution Design:
Working closely with technical teams to design appropriate technology solutions that meet business requirements. This involves creating system models, data flow diagrams, and user interface prototypes to communicate the desired functionality and user experience. - Data Analysis:
Analysing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and requirements. May perform data profiling, data mapping, and data modelling activities to ensure accurate and meaningful information is available for system design and development. - Stakeholder Management:
Acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Facilitating discussions, managing expectations, and negotiating priorities to ensure that IT solutions align with business needs. - Testing and Quality Assurance:
Collaborating with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and performing system testing to ensure that the developed solution meets the specified requirements. Assisting in user acceptance testing and supporting defect resolution. - Change Management:
Supporting the implementation of new systems or process changes by coordinating training activities, creating user documentation, and providing ongoing support and guidance to end‑users. - Training and User Support:
Providing training and support to ensure stakeholders understand and can effectively use the implemented systems. Developing training materials, conducting sessions, and addressing user queries. - Documentation and Knowledge Management:
Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date documentation throughout the project life‑cycle. Ensuring that requirements, design specifications, test results, and other project data are properly documented and organized for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Facilitating Communication:
Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring information flows smoothly and addressing misunderstandings. - Stakeholder Engagement:
