Data Governance Specialist – UAE (Onsite Contract)

Contract Duration: 6–9 months

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to support a large-scale enterprise data governance initiative. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to help establish, enhance, and ope rationalise data governance practices across the organisation.

• Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise data governance practice.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to define and maintain key data assets and business terminology.
• Collaborate with technical teams on metadata management and governance processes.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions for business users and stakeholders.
• Review, enhance, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Promote data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across the organisation.
• Support stakeholder engagement and governance operating model activities.

• Demonstrated experience delivering Data Governance initiatives in medium to large organisations.
• Strong understanding of business glossary, metadata management, data stewardship, and governance operating models.
• Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and drive stakeholder alignment.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Relevant Data Governance or Data Management certifications are beneficial.
• Experience with enterprise metadata or data governance platforms is a plus.
