Agile Delivery Lead- IT Business Platform Management

As an Agile Delivery Lead- IT Business Platform Management
, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of initiatives that span vendor-led CAPEX projects, salesforce projects, in‑house product enhancements, support releases and technical debt reduction. You’ll work closely with strategic vendor partners to manage delivery timelines, budgets and quality, ensuring that all integrations between vendor‑built systems and Emirates’ enterprise platforms meet our technical and operational standards.
- Schedule user stories from the technical product backlog to the sprint plan, focusing on regular and timely delivery of business‑value initiatives and facilitate agile ceremonies such as product backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, removing impediments and blockers to ensure optimal flow of value.
- Guide the team on the use of Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight the business and elicit the most from self‑organisation. Assess the scrum maturity of the team and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable. Promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace while adhering to the agreed quality management plan.
- Work collaboratively with the Technical Product Owners to refine, clarify and maintain the product backlog; together with the TPO schedule and commit stories into sprints and visualise progress.
- Support the Technical Product Owners in managing business expectations and transparency in both product backlog and schedule for all initiatives.
- Define and manage a well‑defined process and champion ongoing process‑improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Delivery Management and effectively manage conflict resolution.
- Ensure the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DOD) are followed and that each team member is fully engaged in the stories and making a meaningful contribution. Encourage a sustainable pace while adhering to the agreed quality management plan. Maintain an agile project management tool such as Scrum Desk, JIRA, etc.
- Degree or Honours or equivalent in a subject related to Computer Science or similar.
- Certified Scrum Master with over three years of practical experience applying Scrum methodologies. Existing SDLs transitioning to PMI‑ACP certification are exempt from this requirement.
- Five years of experience in Information Technology in agile delivery within the context of a small‑medium technology change programme. Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams for a large organisation.
- Well versed in the use of tools of software delivery, e.g. MS Office suite, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, focusing on core Scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.
