Responsibilities- You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of initiatives that span vendor-led CAPEX projects, Salesforce projects, in-house product enhancements, support releases, and technical debt reduction.
- You will work closely with strategic vendor partners to manage delivery timelines, budgets, and quality, ensuring that all integrations between vendor-built systems and Emirates enterprise platforms meet our technical and operational standards.
- You will schedule user stories from the technical product backlog to the sprint plan, focusing on regular and timely delivery of business value initiatives.
- You will facilitate agile ceremonies such as product backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- You will manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies; remove impediments and blockers to ensure optimal flow of value.
- You will guide the team on the use of Agile Scrum practices and values to delight the business and elicit the most out of self‑organisation.
- You will assess the Scrum maturity of the team, coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for them, and promote the empowerment of the team.
- You will work collaboratively with the Technical Product Owners to refine, clarify, and maintain the product backlog, schedule, and commit stories into sprints, visualising progress.
- You will support the Technical Product Owners in managing business expectations and transparency in both product backlog and schedule for all initiatives.
- You will define and manage a well‑defined process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Delivery Management and effectively manage conflict resolution.
- You will ensure the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) are being followed and that each team member is fully engaged in the stories.
- You will maintain an agile project management tool such as Scrum Desk, JIRA, etc.
- Leadership Role:
Yes.
- Degree or Honours or equivalent in a subject related to Computer Science or similar.
- Certified Scrum Master with over three years of practical experience applying Scrum methodologies.
- Existing SDLs transitioning to PMI‑ACP certification are exempt from this requirement.
- 5 years of working in Information Technology in agile delivery within the context of a small‑to‑medium technology change programme.
- Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams for a large organisation.
- Well‑versed in the use of software delivery tools such as MS Office suite, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, focusing on core Scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect.
