Technical Lead Implementation Engineer – Professional Services
Tealium is a leading provider of customer data platforms (CDP) that empowers organizations to unify data and deliver personalized, privacy‑conscious experiences. The company is expanding its Professional Services team with a focus on AI‑enabled customer engagement solutions.
Job FocusIn this customer‑facing role you will:
- Lead complex implementations, providing technical configuration, deployment, and validation of Tealium iQ, Audience Stream, Event Stream, Data Access, Insights, and related products.
- Act as the technical point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Write and debug performant, scalable JavaScript for tag management, data layer enrichment, and server‑side functions.
- Support front‑end issues including JavaScript tags, APIs, mobile SDKs, and network‑level data discrepancies.
- Implement best‑practice data strategies for event tracking, user identity resolution, segmentation building, audience activation, and customer data visualizations.
- Maintain on‑site presence during implementation and delivery to ensure customer engagement.
- Participate in peer reviews, team stand‑ups, and cross‑functional projects.
- Demonstrate ownership, resourcefulness, and accountability, leveraging AI and modern tools to drive measurable customer and business outcomes.
- 1 to 2 years of experience with Tealium’s full product suite (iQ, Audience Stream, Event Stream, Data Access) or equivalent digital marketing technology.
- 5 years of experience in a client‑facing technical implementation, solutions engineering, or martech consulting role.
- Ability to travel regionally within EMEA/MENA to support customers and business operations.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web debugging tools, Postman, Chrome Dev Tools, proxies (Charles/Fiddler).
- Strong understanding of data layers, tag management systems, and event‑based architecture.
- Experience with digital marketing and analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Amplitude.
- Experience with journey or marketing orchestration tools (SFMC, Braze, AEP, Bloomreach, MoEngage).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, server‑side tracking, mobile SDKs, and data enrichment concepts.
- Exposure to privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and consent management platforms.
- Knowledge of data warehouses and SQL or BI platforms is a plus.
- Experience with dashboarding and visualization platforms such as Amazon Quicksight.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic highly preferred.
- Autonomous and self‑motivated, especially when working remotely across time zones.
Preferred location:
Dubai (or nearby). This is a Professional Services role, not a software engineering position. Regular on‑site collaboration and regional travel are required.
