As an Oracle & SQL DBA, you will be responsible for administering and optimizing complex, high‑volume OLTP databases that underpin core banking operations. You will work across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms, ensuring robust backup, disaster recovery, and performance tuning strategies are in place. The role requires deep technical expertise combined with an understanding of banking systems where reliability, security, and compliance are paramount.
You will collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams while supporting both on‑prem and cloud‑based database environments. This is a senior‑level opportunity for DBAs experienced in mission‑critical financial systems.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Manage high‑volume OLTP banking systems to ensure performance and availability
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Design and support HA/DR architectures for critical financial databases
- Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization
- Ensure database security, access controls, and compliance with banking standards
- Support databases across Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
- Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues
- Support database upgrades, patches, and capacity planning initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of enterprise DBA experience, preferably in Banking or Financial Services
- Strong hands‑on experience in Oracle Database Administration
- Strong hands‑on experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T‑SQL
- Solid expertise in backup & recovery strategies
- Strong knowledge of HA/DR architectures
- Proven experience in database performance tuning for financial systems
- Experience working with Linux/Unix and Windows Server platforms
- Exposure to cloud banking databases (Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS)
- Experience working in highly regulated or compliance‑driven environments
- Knowledge of data security, encryption, and audit requirements
- Strong documentation and incident management skills
- Ability to work independently in high‑pressure production environments
