Job Overview

AWS has an exciting Data Center Technician/Engineer opportunity in Dubai for a UAE national with a family book. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Execution & Troubleshooting:

• Perform a variety of DCO procedures including break‑and‑fix repairs, host‑level decommissions (HLD), server rack decommissions (SRD), media removal, media destruction, and first responder duties.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues using SOPs and available documentation; escalate when actions deviate from established procedures.

Scope & Decision‑Making:

• Operate across one or more process paths within the DCO team, applying knowledge to determine the correct task or procedure.
• Work is reviewed daily by supervision.

Communication &

Collaboration:

• Communicate clearly via tickets, SIMs, task tracking entries, and write‑ups.
• Participate effectively in team meetings and present work to leaders.

Impact & Process Improvement:

• Deliver work that impacts team metrics including ticket resolution, decom throughput, and safety compliance.
• Take action to improve operational excellence within DCO workflows.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to all DC safety protocols during red zone (RZ) and floor operations.
• Support safety inspections and maintain site compliance standards.

• UAE National Only with a valid family book.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in computer networking.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
