Linux Engineer UAE

you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of our Linux-based server environments.

This role requires expertise in configuring and troubleshooting system issues, ensuring high availability and performance, and implementing best practices for security and efficiency.

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on physical and virtual servers.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server configurations for maximum efficiency.
• Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and security updates.
• Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Collaborate with development and network teams to ensure the seamless deployment and integration of applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT staff regarding Linux systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest Linux technologies and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
• Experience with server management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
