IBM Guardium Suppport Engineer responsibilities
- Support to complete the full installation scope post takeover from the implementation team
- Implementing data security policies based on compliance and requirements
- Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) Configuration to ensure continuous monitoring and anomaly detection.
- Adjusting Guardium policies to reduce false positives and enhance efficiency.
- Design and implement data security policies aligned with the requirements.
- Apply role-based policies tailored for privileged users, application service accounts, and external access.
- Ensure policies are structured for audit readiness, exception handling, and real-time alerting.
- Monitor alert volume and fine-tune policies to reduce false positives and operational noise.
- Implement event correlation and suppression rules where appropriate to enhance efficiency.
- Review rule hits and optimize based on risk trends.
Engagement Exclusions which are not in scope
- New Feature Requests/ Product Enhancements.
- Fixing/Remediation of Found Vulnerabilities in the databases.
- Anything related to Database administration.
- Anything that is not covered under allocated licenses of IBM Guardium Role & responsibilities
