Legal Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing corporate legal documents including Shareholders Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Intercompany Agreements, Articles/Memorandums of Associations, Power of Attorney, Board and Annual General Minutes.
• Providing a leading standard of legal document management utilizing the existing legal server; including the maintenance of corporate registers and revisions to corporate structure.
• Maintaining relationships with external law firms to support the resolution of any legal disputes/issues.
• Reviewing, qualifying and negotiating tenders, contracts, or other corporate legal documents.
• Preparing contracts (templates) such as service level agreements, agency agreements, distribution agreements, intellectual property agreements, master service agreements, memorandums of understanding, non‑disclosure agreements and other similar agreements to support business requirements.
• Providing general legal support and consultation to the business with all internal/external legal matters to mitigate group corporate risk, provide commercially sensible and pragmatic solutions, and mitigate disputes.
• Maintaining current knowledge of UAE laws and other jurisdictions in which the business operates and advising the business accordingly of any amendments, new regulations, etc.
• Proactively managing renewals/expiries of documents.
• Setting up entities in Dubai Mainland, DIFC, DMCC, JAFZA and other free zones in the UAE.
• Drafting legal documents and commercial agreements in English and supporting the entire process on management instructions.
• Conducting research on relevant laws and regulations.
• Drafting and amending Memorandum and Articles of Association of companies, legal documents, and commercial agreements.
• Reviewing and drafting internal policies.
• Staying up to date with industry‑specific legal developments, regulations, and best practices.
• Providing legal advice and guidance to internal teams on day‑to‑day operational matters.

• Approximately 1–2 years post‑qualification experience in a similar role, preferably within a law firm or in‑house legal position. Experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Real Estate and General Trading Industry is required.
• LLB from a common law jurisdiction.
• Experience in a similar role; compliance/corporate law is required.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and free zones is desirable.
• Knowledge of sanctions lists, anti‑competition, anti‑bribery laws is required.
• First‑class legal drafting skills, attention to detail and accuracy is mandatory.
• Must have a mature, positive, and proactive approach to work with the ability to manage sensitive matters accordingly.
• Ability to handle large workloads, prioritize tasks, project‑manage time accordingly.
• Problem‑solving skills; ability to provide commercially sensible and pragmatic solutions for the business.
• Microsoft Office skills are required.
