We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer to lead and transform our end-to-end supply chain and procurement function. This executive role is critical in driving operational excellence, cost optimization, supplier resilience, and sustainable growth across the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping procurement strategy, strengthening supplier partnerships, enhancing supply chain agility, and ensuring best-in-class governance across sourcing, logistics, inventory, and demand planning.
Duties & responsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Define and execute a group-wide procurement and supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team on supply chain risk, cost management, and market dynamics.
- Lead transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, digital maturity, and scalability.
- Oversee strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management across all categories.
- Drive cost optimization, value creation, and total cost of ownership initiatives.
- Establish strong governance, compliance, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Lead end-to-end supply chain activities including demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Ensure continuity of supply and resilience through risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Optimize service levels while balancing cost, quality, and speed.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing procurement and supply chain teams.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Technology leaders.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Define KPIs and dashboards to measure performance, savings, service levels, and risk.
- Leverage data, analytics, and digital tools to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g. CIPS, CSCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 18+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain leadership, including senior or executive-level roles.
- Experience in Maritime, Port, Shipyard, Shipyard industry is required.
