Operational Specialist - Soft Commodities

We are currently partnering with a growing international commodities business in Dubai that is looking to hire an Operations Associate to support the end-to-end execution of physical shipments across global markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–5 years’ experience in commodity operations, logistics, or supply chain execution who enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

• Manage shipments from contract execution through to final delivery
• Coordinate break bulk, containerized, and trucking shipments
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively follow up on operational activities
• Review and manage shipping documentation including BLs, invoices, packing lists, and related documents
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and Incoterms
• Liaise with shipping lines, warehouses, transport providers, inspectors, and other service providers
• Maintain accurate updates within internal systems and reporting tools
• Coordinate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Support payment follow-up processes, including exposure to Letters of Credit where applicable
• Escalate operational issues or delays promptly and professionally

• 2–5 years’ experience within commodity operations, logistics, or supply chain
• Exposure to international trade flows and shipping processes
• Strong understanding of shipping documentation and execution workflows
• Knowledge of Incoterms required
• Experience handling break bulk, containers, and trucking operations preferred
• Familiarity with trade finance/payment terms including LCs is advantageous

• Strong ownership mentality and attention to detail
• Proactive and highly organized
• Able to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
• Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
