Senior Procurement Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers
• Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and contracts with vendors
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards and timelines
• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process including requisitioning, vendor selection, order placement, and delivery follow-up
• Manage and maintain procurement records and documentation
• Ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services
• Develop and manage the procurement budget
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while ensuring quality and efficiency
• Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives

• BE / B Tech in Civil
• Minimum 10 to 12+ years of GCC experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within a construction company
• Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus
