Pool Maintenance Helper

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosis, repairs and maintenance of swimming pools, fountains, water systems, filter systems, pumps, heat pumps and related equipment.
• Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pools, fountains and portable water system.
• Maintain the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality.
• Maintain all the pools and all water features using proper chemicals and cleaners as per schedule.
• Maintain the pool area including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tasks.
• Repairs and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Test the chemical levels in swimming pools and other water systems and adjust as needed.
• Fix lights above and below water level.
• Check and repair corrosion, cracks and leaks in the pools and fountains walls or floors.
• Check water quality parameters – pH, Chlorine, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Cyanuric Acid and Total Dissolved Solids – by using a digital test kit and keep a daily record.
• Work closely with the Housekeeping department regarding daily pool cleaning tasks.
• Log and report equipment faults or water quality problems to managers.

• Minimum of 1‑year experience in the same role.
• High School Degree or similar.
• General knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods.
• General knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, paint and equipment repairs.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to work with adverse weather conditions.
