Labor camp cleaner

Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards across all common areas including dining halls, recreation rooms, and washrooms.
• Perform thorough cleaning of individual living quarters to ensure a comfortable and sanitary environment for all residents.
• Manage and dispose of waste and refuse efficiently and in accordance with established safety protocols.
• Replenish essential supplies such as toiletries, cleaning agents, and paper products in communal facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Sanitize high‑touch surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a healthy camp.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor polishers, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment.
• Report any pest control issues or potential hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Contribute to a positive and orderly living environment by ensuring all areas are tidy and well‑kept.

• Previous experience in janitorial services or a similar cleaning role is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in using various cleaning tools and understanding of different cleaning chemicals.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough and consistent cleaning results.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within scheduled time frames.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English or another relevant language spoken at the camp.
