We’re building an ecosystem of digital products and services that power everyday life across the Middle East—fast, scalable, and deeply customer‑centric. Our mission is to deliver to every door every day. We want to redefine what technology can do in this region, and we’re looking for an Assistant Manager – Operations Excellence who can help us move even faster.

Noon’s fastest hyper‑local delivery platform, Noon Minutes, offers a localized assortment of FMCG & grocery products with delivery within 15 minutes. Currently live across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering thousands of products to customers in record time.

The Role:

Lead the execution of the Lean Operations component of the strategic Business Plan, focusing on system optimization, process improvements, and cultural change across all markets in which Noon Minutes operates.

What you’ll do:
  • Actively lead efforts to revamp and streamline existing operational processes. Identify critical gaps and bottlenecks and develop both tech and non‑tech initiatives to remove them.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders including Fulfillment, Tech, Planning & Performance team, Admin, HR, Finance, and Procurement to ensure end‑to‑end process harmonization and efficiency across all markets.
  • Set out and identify best practices, formalize them into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), facilitate knowledge transfer, ensure robust implementation, and develop a compliance mechanism to track adherence.
Learning, Quality & Delivery Associate Training:
  • Drive the process of developing comprehensive training materials, including creating training manuals, formal SOPs, and E‑learning initiatives for all operational roles.
  • Lead the team responsible for providing training to newly onboarded Delivery Associates (including walkers, cyclists, motorbike, and EV riders).
  • Develop and implement retraining initiatives to increase the quality and performance of the existing fleet, specifically targeting performance gaps to prevent offboarding (churn) due to poor performance.
  • Ensure the overall quality and consistency of the Delivery Associates’ performance across the entire fleet.
  • Lead the training and onboarding of Area Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Dispatchers, while working closely with Country Leadership to design and implement performance management frameworks that drive operational excellence.
  • Based on operational insights, initiate tech development requests with the Technology team.
  • Work in parallel with the Tech team on upcoming Product Roll Outs and the Introduction of New Product Features, including initiating and managing relevant operational requests related to these changes while ensuring alignment with Country Leadership goals and continuous improvement in store operations.
People, Training & Recruitment:
  • Lead the training and onboarding of Area Managers, Supervisors, and Dispatchers.
  • Work directly with Area Managers on performance management initiatives to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle for frontline staff by scheduling, announcing, and conducting recruitment drives for Logistics Associates (Dispatchers) across the UAE.
What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • A minimum of 4‑5 years of total experience in E‑commerce, Supply Chain Design, or Operational Excellence, with a strong preference for candidates having at least 2 years of experience in the GCC region.
  • Proven experience acting as a strategic business partner, delivering data‑backed decision support and enabling strategic initiatives that help to improve organization financial performance.
  • Strong analytical ability (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions) to gather and interpret operational data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to build and manage relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Technologically savvy, with familiarity with Google Suite being a plus.
Who will excel?
  • We’re looking for people with high standards, who understand that hard work matters.
  • You need to be relentlessly resourceful and operate with a deep bias for action.
  • We need people with the courage to be fiercely original.
  • Noon is not for everyone; readiness to adapt, pivot, and learn is essential.
