Contracts Manager

- Administer and manage all contractual matters in compliance with FIDIC contracts, UAE laws, and CITIC Construction policies.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice to project teams on UAE-based infrastructure and building projects.
- Prepare, submit, and manage variations, claims, and extensions of time in accordance with contract conditions and local practices.
- Lead negotiations with UAE clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
- Monitor project cost control, budgets, cash flow, and forecasts in line with UAE project requirements.
- Review, assess, and certify subcontractor payment applications and final accounts in accordance with UAE payment practices.
- Ensure compliance with UAE construction laws, regulations, and statutory requirements, including contractual notices and timelines.
- Maintain accurate contract records, correspondence, and documentation to support audits, claims, and dispute resolution in the UAE.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution, including amicable settlements, expert determination, arbitration, and UAE courts, as required.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on contractual risks, commercial exposure, and project performance within the UAE.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Work Experience: 8-12 years of UAE/GCC experience
,
including a proven track record of handling and successfully settling claims
. - Professional
Certifications: - Strong experience with FIDIC contracts (Red, Yellow, Silver Books preferred).
- Experience working on international or large-scale projects is highly desirable.
- Professional certification (MRICS, LLM, PMP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Skills:
- Mandatory: Fluent in
Arabic
(speaking, reading, writing). - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and contract management tools. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management ability.
- Familiarity with UAE construction laws, local authorities' procedures, and commercial practices.
