Role Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for delivering procurement activities to ensure works and services are procured on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements. The role includes developing procurement strategies, managing tendering and supplier selection, obtaining proposals, preparing comparison statements, leading commercial negotiations, issuing work orders, and reviewing payment certificates. A sound working knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke contract conditions is required to ensure alignment with main contract obligations.

Required Skills

Strong commercial and negotiation skills with end-to-end procurement and tender management experience, including supplier and subcontractor evaluation, cost control and value optimization, contract administration and coordination, effective stakeholder communication, and adherence to high ethical and compliance standards.

Technical Skills

Sound working knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke contract conditions, with experience in preparing RFPs, tender documents and comparison statements, issuing work orders, LOAs and contracts, reviewing payment certificates, interpreting drawings, specifications and BOQs, and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and procurement reporting tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
