AboutThis Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Production Engineer – Metal Forming (DWI 2‑Piece Can) for MEA
, within the Project Engineering team based at Dubai (UAE). The role reports to the Metal Forming Team Leader EMEA and is functionally linked to the Regional Manufacturing Director MEA. The scope of the role primarily supports five manufacturing locations in the Middle East and North Africa (UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia) and involves project work at new green‑field sites and newly acquired manufacturing locations.
- Support and improve manufacturing processes in terms of quality, cost and efficiency.
- Oversee coil handling, cupping system, bodymakers, trimmers, necker, flanger, reformer, die sets, tooling and lubricants applied in the forming process.
- Develop standard operating procedures, best practices and cost‑reduction programmes.
- Deliver classroom and hands‑on training on metal‑forming equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with Crown Technology on equipment, tooling, materials and process improvements and standardise specifications.
The successful candidate has a sound engineering background and is qualified to the level of ONC, HNC, HND or degree. Experience in 2‑piece engineering and process knowledge with a safety mindset is required. The candidate must be able to acquire and utilise knowledge of cupping, body making and necking, communicate clearly at all levels, demonstrate logical problem‑solving and effective decision‑making, and be a self‑starter, team player, leader with strong interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy is expected and flexibility to travel on short notice and for extended periods overseas, with the willingness to adapt to different cultures and circumstances, is essential.
