Operations Manager - Ready Mixed

An Operations Manager for a Ready-Mixed concrete company oversees daily production, logistics, and maintenance across one or more batching plants to ensure high-quality output, strict safety compliance, and timely delivery. They manage staff, optimize raw material inventory, control costs, and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize efficiency and profitability.

• Production & Operations: Direct daily operations of the batching plant, including scheduling production, ensuring quality control standards, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime.
• Logistics & Dispatch: Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of concrete, optimizing routes for transit mixers.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with QCS/ISO standards.
• Resource Management: Manage raw material inventory (cement, aggregates, additives), and oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Financial Control: Manage operating budgets, monitor expenses, and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency and reduce costs.
• Client Relations: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet client demands and resolve issues.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Typically 10+ years of experience in the ready-mix concrete industry.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of concrete production processes, strong leadership, technical proficiency in batching software, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
