5 – JOB MAIN responsibility- Follow company health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- Always to put safety first and when you are unsure you are expected to seek to understand first
- Following all instructions made by the shift leader / production manager / Deputy Production manager.
- Check the dryer doors and make sure that they are all sealed tightly.
- Following training and when competent to do so you are expected to operate all machinery in a safe manner including, Bagging, Mixer, Stacker, Calcination and the Laminator when necessary
- Check the gas and air valves and confirm that they are open and ready.
- Ensure a full understanding when arriving and leaving shift, you are expected to give a handover report at the end of shift and receive a handover at the start of shift
- Operate clean-as-you-go standards in line with the 5S methodology, ‘A place for everything & everything in its place’ to ensure overall efficiency in the workplace
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity of the board as and when directed
- Ensure a consistent approach you are expected to follow operating procedures.
- Keep plant downtime to a minimum by keeping detailed records and report any issues concisely and correctly to the Shift leader and maintenance team.

- Following training you are expected to carry out basic maintenance tasks as directed.
- Always comply with all quality systems to the best product possible
- participate in any project or process improvement, taking a lead on identifying improvements and playing a key role in implementing any resultant changes.
- Investigate causes of failures and developed new procedures for problem solving to produce high quality product and maximize output.
- Check the heat exchanger performance and report any malfunctions.
- Check the dryer operating system and make sure that there are no faults, and all control panel keys are at “AUTO” position.
- Start the dryer and adjust the burner temperatures according to the product type mentioned in the production plan.
- Check the boards’ quality with quality control persons as per the quality standard to make any necessary adjustments on the dryer temperatures.
- liaise closely with other shift workers to maintain standards and drive improvements
- Report and help in maintenance of any sudden faults occurs in the machine
- Wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) and following the safety procedures in the plant.
- Fill the daily dryer temperature report.
- Perform the cleaning tasks needed in the maintenance day.
- Actively participate and give input to several team and individual projects, including, Staff Council and Health & Safety.

4 years’ experience in operation / Instruments operation / Maintenance, preferably in Ovens and dryers’ operations / Maintenance, in (Gypsum / Cement / Glass / Steel) sectors.
- Computer (Microsoft office).
- HMI (Advanced SCADA system Ex. WIN CC).
- English A2 levelor above.
