Production ; Electric Controller

Job Description

• Follows fire pump controller project plans provided by the engineering department to execute all production functions, that include lay‑out and mounting, electrical wiring, soldering, box preparation and final assembly.
• May be assigned a particular function for projects in production; may be transferred to other functions at any time.
• Performs any other tasks required by his supervisor.

• Verifies kit of materials for each project to ensure that all required materials as per the project’s BOM are available.
• Selects appropriate components and installs them on the mounting plate as per pre‑engineered plan and instruction.
• Completes any special mounting instructions ordered by customers.

• Verifies panel mounting plates.
• Follows standardized electrical schemes and instructions provided by the engineering department to execute the electrical wiring connection between the components installed on the panel plate.
• Performs wiring control wiring, power wiring or basic added options as requested.

• Prepares controller boxes by inserting handles, labels, lights, feet welding, transformer stud welding, and any extra options ordered by the customer.

• Verifies box preparation and cabling of all panel plates.
• Executes mechanical assembly of plates in the controller box.
• Performs final assembly, which includes interconnections, power wiring, transformer wiring, emergency handle installation, handle mechanism installation and installation of labels.
• May perform pre‑testing tasks depending on experience.

Work is done in a shop environment where production occurs in cells; the employee will be trained in all of the production functions for cases where displacement is required.
