ROLE

A leading multinational manufacturing organization based in Dubai is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Manufacturing Director to lead large-scale manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence across the business.

The role requires a highly strategic manufacturing leader with strong multinational exposure and proven expertise in optimizing production, quality, supply chain coordination, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and operational efficiency initiatives within complex manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong engineering and operational background with the ability to transform manufacturing operations into a high-performance, lean, quality-focused, and cost-efficient business function aligned with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations ensuring operational excellence, productivity improvement, and world-class manufacturing standards.
  • Drive production efficiency, plant performance, capacity utilization, cost optimization, and operational scalability across the organization.
  • Overlook and strategically manage Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain coordination.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, TPM, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives across the business.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives and global operational benchmarks.
  • Ensure strong quality management systems, regulatory compliance, safety standards, and process governance across all operational functions.
  • Lead inventory optimization strategies while minimizing wastage, downtime, operational bottlenecks, and excess inventory exposure.
  • Partner closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow and operational continuity.
  • Strengthen manufacturing planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and production scheduling processes.
  • Drive automation, digitization, manufacturing innovation, and smart operational improvements where applicable.
  • Develop KPI-driven operational management systems with strong reporting structures and performance dashboards.
  • Lead large cross-functional operational teams while building a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
  • Work closely with regional and global leadership teams on operational alignment, strategic projects, and business expansion initiatives.
  • Ensure operational readiness for audits, compliance reviews, customer standards, and multinational governance requirements.
  • Mentor and develop future operational leadership talent within the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience within multinational manufacturing organizations.
  • Proven exposure in handling large-scale manufacturing operations with oversight of Production, Quality, Warehouse, Purchasing, Logistics, and Inventory functions.
  • Strong exposure to operational excellence and continuous improvement environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification will be considered a distinctive advantage.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, commercial, and operational leadership capabilities.
  • Experience driving transformation, operational restructuring, process optimization, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
  • Strong exposure to ERP systems, manufacturing analytics, operational reporting, and KPI management.
  • Ability to lead multicultural teams within highly matrixed multinational environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Open to candidates from diverse manufacturing sectors with strong multinational exposure.
