Job Summary
The role involves operating X-ray inspection equipment to examine printed circuit board assemblies and ensure product quality.
Responsibilities- Operate X-ray inspection equipment to examine solder joints, ball grid array components, and internal structures of printed circuit board assemblies.
- Analyze X-ray images to identify defects such as voids, bridging, insufficient solder, and misalignments.
- Document inspection results and maintain traceability records for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to report findings and support root cause analysis.
- Ensure inspection processes comply with IPC-A-610 standards and internal quality requirements.
- Perform routine calibration and basic maintenance of X-ray inspection equipment.
- Handle printed circuit board assemblies using proper electrostatic discharge protection methods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and electrostatic discharge-safe inspection area.
- Follow company safety protocols and manufacturing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve inspection accuracy and reduce defects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in printed circuit board assembly or electronics manufacturing and inspection.
- Experience with X-ray inspection systems;
Omron experience is an advantage. - Strong knowledge of printed circuit board assembly structures, soldering, and common defects.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards and inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of electrostatic discharge safety and handling practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings and bill of materials.
