X ray Operator

Job Summary

The role involves operating X-ray inspection equipment to examine printed circuit board assemblies and ensure product quality.

• Operate X-ray inspection equipment to examine solder joints, ball grid array components, and internal structures of printed circuit board assemblies.
• Analyze X-ray images to identify defects such as voids, bridging, insufficient solder, and misalignments.
• Document inspection results and maintain traceability records for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to report findings and support root cause analysis.
• Ensure inspection processes comply with IPC-A-610 standards and internal quality requirements.
• Perform routine calibration and basic maintenance of X-ray inspection equipment.
• Handle printed circuit board assemblies using proper electrostatic discharge protection methods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and electrostatic discharge-safe inspection area.
• Follow company safety protocols and manufacturing procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve inspection accuracy and reduce defects.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in printed circuit board assembly or electronics manufacturing and inspection.
• Experience with X-ray inspection systems;
  Omron experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of printed circuit board assembly structures, soldering, and common defects.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of electrostatic discharge safety and handling practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings and bill of materials.
