Network Engineer - Aruba Wireless

Job Description

Manage Aruba wireless and wired infrastructure, including provisioning devices, monitoring network health, troubleshooting across layers, and ensuring secure, high‑performance connectivity across multiple offices.

• Provisions new installed devices using Aruba Mobility controllers
• Provides complete Wi‑Fi connectivity using Aruba AP, including site survey report generation and documentation
• Manages Airwave NMS and monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users
• Handles complaints, takes preventive action and maintains a problem‑free network
• Provides complete solution for making interconnectivity into multiple offices
• Performs daily health check of all core devices
• Generates daily, weekly, monthly and yearly management reports
• Creates tickets and troubleshoots with L3 support
• Responsible for L1 and L2 troubleshooting the complete solution
• Audits traffic flow and performs traffic engineering for network performance, stability and reliability
• Attends MDTs and TCNs; configures and applies new AP profiles, AP groups and policies, etc. required by the customer
• Implements L2 authentication for users based on SSID, MAC, 802.1x and WEP
• Implements L3 authentication for users based on captive portal
• Performs performance reporting and analysis for the complete network using Airwave
• Upgrades Aruba controller and Airwaves
• Hands over core devices acceptance for controllers, NMSs, routers, switches, firewalls etc. of different vendors (Aruba, Cisco, Huawei)
• Implements new core devices, configuration of controllers, NMSs, routers, switches, firewalls etc. of Aruba
• Conducts E2E troubleshooting, generates HLDs and LLDs, conducts performance monitoring, reporting and optimizations

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• CCNA & CCNP Certified
• Aruba Certifications ACMA / ACMP
• Should have excellent knowledge in IPv4, IPv6, routing, switching, various topologies, access points, WLAN controllers, in‑home router, IPv4/IPv6, TR‑069, IPSEC, QoS, 802.11
• Excellent knowledge in routing, switching protocols
• Knowledge in SNMP, RADIUS, CAPWAP, LWAP protocols is a plus
• Should have knowledge of various network adjuncts and services i.e. AAA, EAP, E2E connectivity, controllers, NMSs, routers, switches, firewalls
• Must possess excellent industry knowledge and theoretical understanding of RFC standards, 802.11 specifications (a/b/g/n/ac, SISO, MIMO)
• Experience with testing and Q/A of Layer1 through7 networks
• Experience writing and developing detailed test cases and test plans
• Must possess expert skills and experience with server, desktop operating systems and applications (Windows, Linux)

• Expert level communication, documentation, teamwork skills
• Self‑motivated to take ownership of assigned projects and deliverables
• Experienced technical writing skills sufficient to produce test cases, test plans, design documents, and technical diagrams
