Fitter, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Precisely assemble, install, and maintain mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications to ensure optimal functionality.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances, guaranteeing accurate fitting and alignment.
• Perform complex fitting operations including pipe fitting, welding preparation, and the use of hand and power tools to achieve desired results.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and mechanical principles.
• Hold a relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in fitting or a related field, demonstrating practical skills.
• Acquire certifications in relevant areas such as welding or specific equipment operation, showcasing expertise.
• Have at least 3-5 years of experience working in a fitting role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
