Welder Fabricator

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG CO2 welding on steel structures and heavy equipment components
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Cut, fit, grind and prepare steel materials for welding and assembly
• Manufacture and assemble garbage compactor bodies and related equipment
• Inspect welded joints and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to meet project deadlines
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Experience in truck body building, garbage compactors, skip loaders, hook loaders or similar heavy equipment is an advantage
• High school diploma or GED; vocational training in welding or fabrication is highly preferred
• Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder in heavy fabrication, truck bodies, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
• Strong MIG/CO2 welding skills
• Experience working with steel plates, structural steel, and metal fabrication tools
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
