Cutting List Specialist - Joinery; Walk-In-drive

Job Summary The Cutting List Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate cutting lists, Bills of Materials (BOM), and material optimization plans for joinery and woodworking projects. The role ensures efficient utilization of materials, minimizes wastage, and supports production by providing detailed cutting schedules and technical documentation based on approved shop drawings.

• Prepare detailed cutting lists for MDF, plywood, veneer, solid wood, laminates, and other joinery materials.
• Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) from approved shop drawings and production drawings.
• Review technical drawings and specifications to determine material requirements and quantities.
• Coordinate with the Design, Estimation, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure accuracy of cutting requirements.
• Optimize material usage to reduce wastage and improve production efficiency.
• Prepare nesting layouts and cutting plans using relevant software.
• Verify dimensions, material specifications, edge banding requirements, and hardware details before production.
• Maintain records of cutting lists, material consumption, and production documentation.
• Support the production team in resolving technical issues related to cutting and material utilization.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.

5 years of experience in joinery manufacturing, woodworking, or fit-out industry.

• Proven experience in preparing cutting lists and BOMs for joinery projects.
• Experience with custom furniture, cabinetry, and interior fit-out projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, and production processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with optimization/nesting software is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
