Fabrication Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication and workshop operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Lead, motivate and manage fabrication personnel including welders, fitters and workshop staff.
• Monitor fabrication activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, fabrication details and production schedules.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, machinery and equipment.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, quality and project teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure fabrication work meets required standards and project specifications.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental regulations within the workshop.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality.
• Prepare daily progress reports and monitor fabrication schedules to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain workshop discipline and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, metal works or a related manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience supervising fabrication workshops and production teams.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding methods, cutting, fitting and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting.
• UAE experience will be an added advantage.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are preferred.
