Responsibilities
Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities on the factory floor to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Production Oversight: Assign tasks to machine operators, technicians and laborers and ensure adherence to schedules.
Production Oversight: Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues with technical teams.
Production Oversight: Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines and materials.
Quality Control & Compliance: Monitor production quality and ensure all output meets company standards and customer requirements.
Quality Control & Compliance: Enforce adherence to ISO, safety and factory compliance standards.
Quality Control & Compliance: Work closely with the Quality Control team to resolve any defects or process issues.
Team Supervision & Coordination: Lead, train and motivate factory workers to meet productivity and quality goals.
Team Supervision & Coordination: Monitor staff performance and report issues to the Production Manager.
Team Supervision & Coordination: Conduct daily briefings and provide regular feedback to the team.
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve workflow.
Process Improvement: Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime and material usage.
Process Improvement: Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
Health Safety & Housekeeping: Ensure compliance with factory safety policies and PPE requirements.
Health Safety & Housekeeping: Report and address safety incidents or potential hazards immediately.
Health Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and order on the production floor.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); ERP systems knowledge is an advantage.
Other Requirements: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing or fabrication facility; preferably aluminium/glass industry.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of production processes, materials handling and safety standards.
Leadership: Good leadership and team management skills.
Technical: Basic knowledge of machine operations and preventive maintenance.
Communication: Strong communication skills in English (Hindi/Urdu is a plus).
