What you’ll do- External comms & PR
- Develop and implement external communications plans for key product and business
announcements across Careem’s verticals (Careem Pay, Careem Food, Careem Quik, Careem
Dine Out, Careem Bike, Tenants, Donations, and more). - Draft bilingual press releases, media statements, and executive briefings that reflect Careem’s
tone and strategic objectives. - Maintain and strengthen relationships with tier‑one media across print, digital, and broadcast
channels to secure consistent, high‑quality coverage. - Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists and editors covering fintech, AI, business,
and lifestyle across both English and Arabic titles in the UAE. - Identify and leverage emerging digital media channels and new content formats to stay ahead of
the rapidly evolving media landscape. - Proactively pitch stories, interviews, and features that reinforce Careem as the region’s leading
tech platform - Provide strategic counsel on crisis communication in coordination with the leadership team and
relevant stakeholders. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with Social Media, Marketing, Product, and Government Relations
teams to ensure message consistency across channels. - Collaborate with senior leaders and external partners to develop case studies, op‑eds, articles,
and whitepapers.

strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives. - Prepare senior leadership for speaking engagements through tailored briefing documents and
prep sessions - Ensure all spokespeople are media‑trained, confident, and aligned with Careem’s narrative and
messaging. - Attend events in person to support on‑the‑ground communications, manage media interactions,
and post‑event feedback. - Identify high‑impact, relevant awards for Careem’s senior leadership and internal teams across
functions, and manage the full nomination process.

proactive delivery of results. - Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure the agency delivers creative, insight‑led
communications that drive measurable outcomes and a clear ROI.

comms guidelines. - Review and approve all communications and campaigns related to Careem Ads partnerships,
ensuring compliance with brand safety, regional sensitivities, and reputational standards. - Build and maintain documentation, templates, and trackers to streamline communications
processes and ensure best practices are followed.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, written and spoken
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 7+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations (agency background
preferred) - Thrives in a fast‑paced environment, highly adaptable
