Global Trade & Consumer Experience Manager What this position is about – Purpose
The Nakhla brand and commercial team, based in Dubai, is dedicated to establishing Nakhla as a leading global brand in the Shisha tobacco category. This goal will be achieved by expanding into new markets and enhancing engagement with trade partners and consumers in existing markets.
The Trade and Consumer Experience Manager will play a pivotal role within the team, developing and executing trade and consumer‑centric activation strategies, toolkits, and programs to support market teams in driving the brand’s growth. This role involves providing global leadership and commercial expertise to stakeholders, ensuring the long‑term strategic development of Nakhla. The manager will collaborate closely with the commercial team to create and implement market entry plans for new regions.
These initiatives will be tailored to meet the needs of consumers, trade partners, JTI markets, and align with the short and long‑term commercial objectives of the Nakhla brand.
- Develop and Implement Activation Strategies:
- Work with industry‑leading creative agencies to create and execute trade and consumer‑centric activation strategies to drive brand growth.
- Design relevant, pragmatic and scalable toolkits and programs to support market teams in across various regions
- Market Expansion:
- Collaborate with the commercial team to develop and implement market entry plans for new regions.
- Conduct ad hoc market research to identify opportunities and challenges in potential new markets
- Consumer and Trade Engagement:
- Enhance direct engagement with trade partners and consumers in existing markets.
- Develop initiatives tailored to the needs of consumers, trade partners, and JTI markets
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Together with brand and commercial colleagues, monitor the performance of activation strategies and programs.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the effectiveness of initiatives
- Cross‑functional
Collaboration: - Work closely with the commercial, marketing, and product development teams to ensure cohesive brand strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with market teams to support local execution of global strategies
- Budget Management:
- Manage budgets for trade and consumer activation programs.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment
- Graduate in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience, with a focus on consumer and trade marketing.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience in defining and building marketing activation strategies, strong understanding of the route to consumer, Trade, Consumers and the consumer journey
- Experience in reporting on multi-channel strategies and campaigns
- Solid understanding of online marketing tools and digital platforms
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and market requirements
- Excellent English language skill is a must
- Excellent communications skills: written and verbal
- Excellent understanding of marketing technology and tools
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience
- Ability to communicate across functions and business units
