Junior Communications Executive, Alserkal Arts Foundation About the role
As a Junior Communications Executive, you will support the planning, creation, and execution of digital and marketing communications across the organisation. You will play a key role in shaping how programmes, public art commissions, and other initiatives are communicated to our audiences, both existing and potential.
This role combines content creation, coordination, and administrative responsibilities. It requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tools and workflows simultaneously. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that all communications are consistent, timely, and aligned with the organisation’s voice and objectives.
Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Digital Platforms- Create written and visual content for Instagram (posts, stories, reels)
- Support website updates (programmes, public art commissions, archives, events, editorials)
- Oversee consistency and brand‑compliant creativity across all owned channels, including our newsletter
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with communication strategy
- Track social media performance across platforms
- Prepare monthly and yearly digital analytics reports
- Monitor engagement, reach, and content performance trends
- Liaise with external agencies for programme and public art documentation
- Book shoots and coordinate schedules
- Obtain quotes and raise PRs on Sage
- Archive all documentation on internal drives
- Upload programme content to You Tube
- Manage permissions, credit lines, and practitioner‑specific requirements
- Support campaign creation for programmes
- Execute mail merge outreach
- Assist with newsletter creation and distribution
- Work across:
Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator - Use Mailchimp for email campaigns
- Manage CMS for website updates
- Use Survey Monkey and Eventbrite for campaigns and events
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or related field
- 1–2 years of relevant experience
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Basic design skills (Canva / Adobe Suite)
- Familiarity with Instagram and digital platforms
- Experience with CMS and email marketing tools
- Strong organization and multitasking ability
- Detail‑oriented and proactive approach
This job description summarises the main key responsibilities of your role but there may be other reasonable requests made and other responsibilities included from time to time. This is a full‑time role. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 10am to 6pm. Saturdays, Sundays and overtime might be required during intense periods and/or while preparing to deliver special projects and events.
