Role Overview

The Director of Brand and Marketing will lead the end-to-end brand, growth, performance, communications, partnerships, content, social media, CRM, and customer life cycle strategy across Rahal and Rahal eSIM. This role combines strategic brand leadership with hands‑on commercial growth ownership. The ideal candidate understands how to build culturally relevant brands while simultaneously driving measurable acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue outcomes. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will define the overall marketing vision, scale both brands regionally and globally, and build a best‑in‑class in‑house marketing organization.

This is a highly cross‑functional leadership role requiring deep collaboration with Product & Tech, BD & Partnerships, Travel Ops, Customer Experience, internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Positioning
  • Build differentiated brand positioning within the travel and travel‑tech landscape.
  • Develop clear brand architecture, messaging frameworks, tone of voice, and visual identity guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent brand execution across all customer touchpoints.
Growth & Performance Marketing
  • Own customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Lead paid media strategy across Meta, Google, Tik Tok, Snapchat, programmatic, affiliates, influencers, and emerging channels.
  • Partner closely with Product and Analytics teams to improve funnel performance and customer conversion.
  • Identify strategic opportunities across traveler segments, destinations, partnerships, and distribution channels.
  • Build acquisition strategies focused on high‑intent travel audiences.
  • Develop partnerships with travel influencers, airlines, travel creators, tourism boards, fintechs, and ecosystem players.
Content, Social & Community
  • Lead the social media and content vision across all channels.
  • Build engaging, modern, travel‑first storytelling strategies.
  • Oversee content creation including video, editorial, creator partnerships, UGC, campaigns, and destination storytelling.
  • Develop community engagement and advocacy programs.
  • Ensure strong platform‑native execution across Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Linked In, and emerging platforms.
CRM & Customer Lifecycle
  • Build best‑in‑class CRM and lifecycle marketing capabilities.
  • Own segmentation, personalization, automation, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Lead in‑app product marketing banners, push notifications, in‑app communications, and customer retention initiatives.
PR & Communications
  • Lead external communications, media strategy, and reputation management.
  • Build strong local and regional PR visibility.
Team Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing marketing organization.
  • Manage agencies, creators, production partners, and external vendors.
  • Foster a high‑performance, entrepreneurial, collaborative culture.
  • Set clear KPIs, performance goals, and development plans.
Data, Analytics & Commercial Ownership
  • Drive a strong performance culture rooted in analytics and experimentation.
  • Own marketing budget planning, forecasting, and ROI management.
  • Continuously test, learn, and optimize across all channels.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience across brand, growth, performance marketing, and digital marketing roles.
  • Proven leadership experience in high‑growth startups, tech companies, travel, e‑commerce, mobility, fintech, telecom, or consumer platforms.
  • Strong understanding of both brand building and performance marketing.
