Snap Inc. is a technology company focused on camera-based communication. We are looking for a Head of MENA & APAC Communications to join our team with key offices across Dubai, Riyadh, Doha, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Mumbai.
Responsibilities- Develop and drive the MENA & APAC communications strategy, creating a detailed plan with measurable results.
- Develop and maintain the external narrative of our MENA & APAC business in partnership with regional leadership teams and general managers.
- Prepare executives for thought‑leadership communications and key speaking engagements.
- Lead a team of comms and media specialists across MENA & APAC to execute the strategy across media and creator engagement.
- Take an audience‑led approach to developing a diverse comms strategy that reaches advertisers/agencies, parents, policymakers and Snap chatters.
- Shape and influence stakeholder thinking and expectations, building trust in a kind, smart and creative environment.
- Drive positive reputational outcomes across MENA & APAC and take a hands‑on approach to driving activity across the markets with your team.
- Serve as a critical partner to cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Global Brand Experience, Talent & Partnerships, Creative Strategy and Business Insights.
- Build, strengthen and nurture key media relationships and oversee the MENA & APAC press office.
- Work closely with regional management teams to prepare them for media interviews, speaking engagements and milestone moments.
- Inspire and mentor the MENA & APAC Comms team to achieve great work and results.
- Lead and manage agency partner relationships across MENA & APAC to deliver a drumbeat of moments and coverage aligned to business goals.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the media and be a trusted contact for reporters.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape across MENA & APAC, including national, business, advertising and industry trade media.
- Strong experience working cross‑functionally with partners and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
- Experience on multidisciplinary communications programs with a focus on B2B communications.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and able to constructively manage problems without clear solutions.
- Strong news judgement and relationships with top‑tier media and influencers.
- Balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail.
- Prioritize effectively to deliver against business priorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, make decisions, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working with agencies and managing external partners.
- Implement smart use of tools like AI to support the comms function.
- 12+ years relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape across MENA & APAC.
- Experience and exposure across both MENA and APAC markets, navigating diverse cultural, business and media environments.
- Strong cross‑functional and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in multidisciplinary communications programs with strong B2B focus.
