- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their immediate healthcare needs.
- Administer medications and treatments promptly and accurately according to physician orders.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to evaluate and prioritize patient care in emergency situations.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic medical record system.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care instructions.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and changes in condition.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental practices and outcomes.
- Ensure swift and effective communication with physicians regarding patient status and needs.
- Mentor and guide junior nursing staff, providing support and promoting professional development.
- Stay current with applicable nursing standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Current and valid Registered Nursing license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in emergency department settings.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to quickly identify patient needs and urgency.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems and related healthcare technologies.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
