Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient health, including physical examinations, taking vital signs, and monitoring symptoms.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on patient assessments in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during medical procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Observe and record patient conditions, including changes in symptoms or behaviors, and report significant changes to the medical team.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Conduct purposeful rounding to ensure patient needs are met, prevent complications, and improve overall care quality.
- Adhere to strict infection control standards, including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Participate in infection control surveillance and reporting to help prevent facility-acquired infections.
- Maintain cleanliness of patient items and equipment in accordance with facility policies.
- Follow established protocols for emergencies (e.g., codes, rapid response team) to ensure patient safety and effective response.
- Innovate in patient care and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and service-oriented skills.
- Ability to manage work pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Computer skills: proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and typing.
- Clerical skills including preparing agendas and taking minutes of meetings, scanning documents, and other administrative tasks.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- RN resident:
Staff with less than one year of experience will participate in the RN residency program (Fakeeh Graduate).
