Job Purpose
To support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective clinical and personal care within a busy outpatient clinic environment.
The Assistant Nurse plays a key role in supporting physicians, dentists, and nursing teams, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and continuity of care.
Role Overview
This is a clinic-based Assistant Nurse role supporting physicians, dentists and nursing staff in the delivery of outpatient care at our Festival Plaza clinic. The role is suited to a hands‑on Assistant Nurse with strong clinical support experience, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment and assisting with patient assessments, procedures, and daily clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support physicians and nurses in delivering high‑quality patient care.
- Monitor and record vital signs, escalating abnormalities appropriately.
- Ensure patient dignity, privacy, consent, and safety at all times.
- Assist in managing patients with chronic conditions (e.g., respiratory, cardiac, diabetic).
- Support physicians during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate patient updates effectively with the clinical team.
- Respond to emergencies within scope and escalation as required.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and safeguarding protocols.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Attend mandatory training, including BLS and emergency response.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support safe use and basic maintenance of clinical equipment.
- Assist with stock management and replenishment of medical supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Candidate Profile
- DHA Licensed or DHA Eligible Assistant Nurse (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (clinic or outpatient setting preferred).
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical support and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English is required;
Nepali language skills are highly preferred. - Professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused approach.
- Reliable, team‑oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Valid DHA License or Eligibility (Assistant Nurse) – mandatory.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – mandatory.
- Good computer and documentation skills.
Experience or exposure to:
- Vital signs monitoring and patient assessments.
- ECG support.
- Wound care and dressings.
- Infection control procedures.
- Venipuncture and blood sampling.
- IV cannulation.
- Blood glucose monitoring and POCT.
- Clinical documentation.
