Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Doctor to join our dedicated team. As part of our clinic team, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, providing exceptional general practice and internal medicine veterinary care to companion animals. You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions with a focus on patient wellbeing and pet owner satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Perform thorough physical examinations on animals to assess their health and identify medical concerns.
- Diagnose illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions using clinical assessment, diagnostic tests, and imaging techniques.
- Administer vaccines, provide preventive care advice, and carry out routine health screenings.
- Provide emergency care for urgent medical cases, including acute injuries or serious illnesses, and support preparedness for large-scale animal health events.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, prescribe medications, recommend therapies, and perform medical procedures or surgeries when needed.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners, explaining diagnoses, available treatments, and care instructions; address their questions and concerns to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, including health history, diagnosis, treatment, and progress notes.
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of the practice by assisting with inventory oversight, administrative tasks, and practice development.
- Collaborate with technicians, nurses, and other team members for comprehensive animal care and smooth clinic operations.
- Stay current with medical advancements, educate pet owners on animal health, and mentor junior staff as appropriate.
- Uphold ethical standards and comply with legal regulations in all aspects of veterinary practice, ensuring animal welfare remains the highest priority.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or an equivalent recognized degree.
- Valid UAE veterinary license to practice.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in small animal practice, preferably as a general practitioner with an internal medicine focus.
- Demonstrated skills in diagnostics and small animal surgery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of animal health laws, ethical veterinary standards, and current best practices.
- Competence in medical recordkeeping and familiarity with veterinary software systems.
